The Student's Adventure in Turkishland

Hoş geldin This -so far unique- exercise book is designed as a practical pedagogical support for students/learners learning Turkish Language and even beyond. It brings together theory, solved examples, practice activities, and fiction to help learners strengthen both their academic knowledge and their pedagogical skills. Six short stories allow a review of the vocabulary learnt in the exercises in a cultural immersive way. When needed some available linguistic tools and appendices come to accompany the learners in their passionate linguistic journey. This booklet is a beginner-friendly book designed for students -around the world- eager to learn Turkish through a quadrilingual approach (Turkish, English, French, and Arabic). Tailored for our department and beyond, this pedagogical support serves as a purposeful "exercise book" in its picturelessness. It is carefully crafted with key linguistic principles in mind, including gamification, gradation, the noticing theory, simplicity in structure, relevance, enjoyment, reasonable challenge, picturelessness, context-based learning, the use of borrowings, collocations, and cultural relevance.
