The Stray Melody

This "biography" of Abdo Jubeir is told, through what he calls "the phenomenon of Sheikh Imam and the poet Ahmed Fouad Negm," about January 1977, and the campaigns of arrest and abuse of intellectuals that followed the "Bread Intifada" at the hands of state security men during the Sadat era.Abdo Jubayr had published, for "Afaq", the novel "Radwan''s Holiday", and then "The Man of Emotions Walking on the Edge", and articles entitled "Thanks to All Imagination", which are stories about Naguib Mahfouz, and finally "The Straying Melody".Abdo Jubayr says in the introduction to "The Straying Nagham": "When I finally read it, I found that it was forbidden not to publish it, and to waste all this effort, which you will see, my dear reader, at least as a biography of the period of the rise and emergence of the phenomenon of Sheikh Imam."
