The rights of people with disabilities

The book addresses the issue of the rights of people with disabilities by analysing dignity, equality and citizenship. Since the enactment of the 1988 Constitution of the Federative Republic of Brazil, the state has paid greater attention to this group by drawing up laws and public policies that guarantee greater and better inclusion of people with disabilities in all social activities. The book therefore discusses the treatment of the group in the cities of S o Paulo and Mar lia, in order to examine the practical actions carried out in these municipalities.
