The Prison Inside Me

When college professor George Nichols is found dead of an apparent suicide, there's no reason to suspect foul play. He's always been well respected in his field-a sought-after tutor for those with learning disabilities, the operator of a successful summer camp, and a pillar of the local community.

To Detective Robert Szysmanski, it's an open-and-shut case. At least, until a puzzling phone call casts doubt on Nichols's squeaky-clean reputation-and further investigation turns up multiple instances of child molestation among his former students.

Suddenly, homicide seems much more likely-possibly by one of Nichols's victims, seeking to reclaim power over the man who took his away. Or maybe even his wife, the one who allegedly found his body and called in the whole thing, but whose motives are yet unclear.
