Comprised of essays by international scholars who offer diverse perspectives on the topic of belonging, the book examines the phenomenological basis for belonging from its foundational forms through to the emotional and embodied registers that affect persons in their everyday lives. It traces these aspects from the level of affective experience through to the political, cultural, and social structures that impede or foster forms of inclusion and diversity as well as participation and cohesion.
