The Hour of Trial

The Hour of Trial: The Pattern of the Age and the Hour the World will be Tested is an exposition of the book of Revelation which takes the narrative patterns of the text and applies them to the Gospel Age, from Pentecost, the end of the Western Roman Empire, the Middle Ages, the Protestant Reformation, Renaissance and the modern world, to the Second Coming. Particular scrutiny is applied to the final period of the age, beginning in the mid-Twentieth Century, in which the church of Christ is described as lying in the streets having been overcome by the world. It is also during this hour that the Lord sends a word from heaven, the breath of life, to revive His people.
