The Hand in the Dark

A recently married young wife is murdered. At first, there is a dearth of suspects, then attention is focused by Scotland Yard detectives on one suspect on the basis of apparently clear clues and a clear motive. But wait, all is not what it seems to be I don't want to reveal too much but a private detective is brought into the case and brings to light new information, another crime, and a new suspect. A search is made, two suspects finally tell their stories, some new clues are identified, and the mystery is finally solved.
