The Foxhall-Trott Pupil

Tom, a schoolboy from a working-class area in an industrial/maritime UK city, witnesses many prejudices during his school years in the immediate aftermath of World War II.

He forms an educational relationship with his form master, a former public school teacher, who introduces his pupils to basic life skills such as good manners, etiquette and debating.

Plus, can his chance meeting with a group of three well-educated vagrants who congregate in the reading rooms of the local library for daytime shelter and warmth help him achieve a worthwhile career?
