Is identity more than a linear experience? Is the truth so narrowly defined that we suffocate it in our constricted beliefs?The Extraordinary Landscape is about a man who loses his identity in the aftermath of his wife's death but gains a hundred years of time in the layered events that led to this moment. The story is set in the driftless region of the midwest and intertwines the psychological trauma's that occur in the late 1800's with present day relationships.The town is Mineral Point in the Wisconsin territories where Henry and Diane immigrate from Ireland a century before their current marriage. In the celestial aftermath of her death, Diane observes threads of the past recurring when ownership of the land and free will are challenged again.
