The Earl's Masquerade

Despite her Aunt Margaret's prodding, Catherine is less than enthusiastic about attending the first ball of the Season. Lady Catherine Elmsworth hasn't much tolerance for the strictures of high society, or the pretentiousness of many of it's members. Her interest improves greatly, though, when she quite literally runs into a handsome stranger. Garrett Brennan, a young violinist, is enjoying playing as a member of a small orchestra hired for many of the fancy balls and parties of the London Season, while he completes his studies at Cambridge University. When he meets Lady Catherine Elmsworth purely by accident, it changes both of their lives. Lord Brooks Darling is one of the richest young bachelors in London. He is also very handsome and quite charming, a genuinely nice person, making him desirable to most of the young ladies of London, to say nothing of their mothers. When he sets his sights on Lady Catherine, though, he will be satisfied with no other.
