"The Wolves Of Chernobyl" uncovers the origin story of a werewolf and contemplates ecological destruction, while in "The Bull And The Blade" a modern Minotaur is sought in the labyrinthine streets of Pamplona, Spain. In the speculative "One More Time," "Copy That," and "Grand Mal," the human side of technological innovation is maintained alongside a world altered beyond recognition. And in the title story a group of astronauts on Mars receive an unexpected visitor capable of ensuring either their salvation or destruction.
