Dancing, especially rock-n-roll and West Coast Swing offered John Roberts years of enjoyment and friendships, while running, swimming and cycling nourished his appetite for recreation in the great outdoors. His work in Australia and the United States was challenging and satisfying, with promotion and praise coming his way. Life was good, until a stroke - a needless catastrophe just waiting to happen - struck down this healthy and productive research scientist in the prime of his professional life.
