It was all so . . . weird.

She had just seen him for the first time in her life and she felt as if she had known him forever. His voice was echoing in her soul as if reminding her of a beloved melody she inadvertently forgot. She had the impression that her hands could feel the silkiness of his hair. She could swear that she perfectly remembered the smell of . . . his skin. When he touched her hand, she felt exactly the same thing as a few years ago, when she lost consciousness after she held in her hands the mysterious note from her benefactor and the pendant in the shape of an angel, with the difference that the feeling that she knew today was a thousand times stronger than the one then. And when he kissed her hand again when saying goodbye, she fainted. She knew however that it wasn't an ordinary collapse. It felt as if her soul had detached itself from her body and glided in an unknown direction to show her a place she had not seen before, and his face . . . the face marked with unfamiliar pain, longing and waiting for something she could not grasp. An internal flame was burning in her heart, bringing unknown images she wasn't able to recognise, yet she was sure she had seen them before.
