ALS II Course 10: Vision Leadership Attribute-You have a vision when you understand how you get to your mission purpose and what the future outcome will be relative to your present.

The vision leadership attribute gives the leader the ability to specify in the present what each follower's or group's growth should be in the future, where to focus these efforts to meet that growth; how he will accomplish all aspects of his mission, which future (destination) he aspires to lead the people, and when the purpose will be achieved. Leadership without direction leads followers to nowhere. Vision is the most common descriptor of effective leadership and must be clear and inspirational to achieve the desired purpose. What are the qualities of a visionary leader? When was the last time you added brand new challenges to your normal routine to achieve a new you? Answers to these and other questions are explored in this course. The primary characteristics of visionary leadership will be identified and used to frame a principle of leadership vision attribute.
