As a wife, mom, educator, philanthropist, and advocate, Monica Furlong strives to empower and educate the world about mental health, bullying, and understanding diverse families and children of varying backgrounds. Anyone can be, "That Kid " which is why it's so important we teach our children the importance of accepting and understanding differences, spreading kindness, and getting to know others before judging. Monica wrote the book to provide a tool for parents, teachers, and community members to help spread hope, kindness, and empathy for "That Kid." Monica's own experience being "That Kid" has driven her passion to expand understanding of and embrace differences to create a stronger and more empathetic world where all of our kids can flourish. This book is based on components of a true story.
