Whilst the greatest effort has been made to ensure the quality of this text, due to the historical nature of this content, in some rare cases there may be minor issues with legibility. The present treatise on counterpoint must not be regarded as a more developed exposition of the ideas contained in my book, New School of a work which unfortunately I erroneously entitled, A Sketch of Counterpoint by a New Method.
