Teacher's companion to Initium

When Initium was first published in 1916, it reflected a ground-breaking movement in education, led by W.H.D Rouse, to change the way Latin was taught in schools. A century later, Initium is still in print, evidence of its continuing importance, but also presenting problems to the modern teacher, not the least of which is that students are expected to have spent a fortnight on purely oral work before they open the book.

This "Teacher's Companion" is the missing ingredient, long forgotten, in which R.B. Appleton guides his professional audience through their early experiences of teaching Latin on the Direct Method.
