Sustainable Development of Agricultural Cooperatives

Agricultura Cooperatives have always endeavoured to enable members to have access to finance perhaps to goods and services without exploitation and to realize their needs and aspirations. This has led them to pursue a convergence between economic, social, and environmental interests building triple bottom line of sustainability among members. Agricultural Cooperative is geared towards food sufficiency, Self-sufficiency, Self-reliance, economic recovery and stability of a nation. Farmer's cooperative members must be able to adapt to the ever-changing conditions in which agriculture is evolving, including population growth, policies, and market demand. This also requires social and cultural innovation through capacity building.
