Street Poetry

I started writing poetry as an outlet to the tragediesthat have occured in my life. I have survivedchild abuse; physical, verbal, emotional abuse,racism and discrimination for my sexuality. I haveovercome dark moments and have enjoyed happyones, and through it all I have had my eyes onthe prize. The goal has always been to share withothers my thoughts and feelings, no matter howraw and uncensored they may be. I share my innermost demons because Iknow that there are many others out there just like me. Women and childrenwith no voice, and with no choice. I write because it is natural to me. I writebecause it is my choice. I write because I have found my voice.
