Stingy people

The importance of Al-Bakhala'' by Al-Jahiz is not only due to it being one of the eyes of the Arab literary heritage, but that importance lies in the meaning of uniqueness, which characterizes Al-Jahiz''s style, and in the essence of the idea of ??modernity - which, if achieved in a literary work, will follow it in all ages - Then in novelty and elegance, two qualities that characterized his works and made them a pure source of enjoyment and renewed value. Here, we see a panoramic picture of the society in which the author lived, with all its classes and individuals. We feel the details of their features and psychological characteristics without artificiality or politeness. Through the stories of the book, the tone is transmitted from tongue to tongue, as the common people, the nooks, the fools, the vagabonds, the bastards, and the thieves speak, and the caliphs, princes, ministers, leaders of the state, and its senior writers speak. If all these people speak, it is no surprise that their dogs bark, their wolves howl, and their stingy roosters crow as they gallop, in order to steal love from the chickens'' beaks. The grandfather disguises himself as a joke, and the joke becomes very serious, and the vocabulary of the language moves freely and chastely through the centuries, until its letters dance alive and vibrant before our eyes.
