You cant pick your family thats fact. If it were a choice as tothe family I would choose, I knew no different than the handthat was dealt to me. What happens to you in the past is inthe past and does not have to predict the future or define whoyou become. There was abuse, brutality, control, anger, andMORE importantly alcohol, was the name of the game for mystepfather, or at least thats what he thinks.

As my Mother lay in her casket, I take comfort in knowing thatshe is in a much better place than the day-to-day nightmareshe lived through.

As for myself, I did everything in my power to believe real loveexisted and was out there for me. Having a family of my own tolove and nurture was somewhere and I knew in my heart thatGod had a plan.
