Although she owns a haunted inn, she doesn't actually believe in ghosts. And while she hosts Singles Mingles week at the inn, she no longer believes in love. She most certainly doesn't believe in the Major, the Union Civil War soldier who supposedly haunts the Misty Meadow Inn by appearing to soulmates. But when she finds herself in a supernatural lockdown with a handsomely irritating out-of-towner, Maya is forced to question everything she previously believed. Davis Holloway is a man on a mission—lock up the promotion to VP by scouting locations for a new resort in Cloverfield, Virginia and then get out of the annoying small town as fast as possible. His mission takes an unexpected detour, however, when he finds himself booked for Singles Mingle week at the inn and becomes a target of a certain matchmaking ghost. What are two people who definitely aren't soulmates supposed to do to keep themselves from additional ghostly attention? Fake their relationship so the Major will leave them alone, of course. But as fake dating turns into real feelings, will the truth about Davis's job come out and destroy the budding relationship?
