E. Hoffmann Price (1898 - 1988) was an American writer of popular fiction (he was a self-titled 'fictioneer') for the pulp magazine marketplace. He collaborated with H. P. Lovecraft on "e;Through the Gates of the Silver Key"e; -- and penned hundreds of other stories, primarily in the horror and mystery fields. "e;Spirit Murder"e; originally appeared in the pulp magazine Spicy Detective Stories, December 1935.
