Special Little Sister

It's Sara’s first day at her new school and she’s scared and nervous. It’s also Mindy Clearwater's first day at her new school and she apprehensive because of her awful experience at her previous school. Will it be different this time?

A shy girl, Sara is holding out hope that Tree House Elementary will be nothing like her second grade experience. She didn't have any pleasant memory at the school where she made no friends all year. Mindy is a little girl with a health condition that prevented her from growing as tall as the other kids her age.

As Sara settles down in her new class, she is noticed Mindy in the seat right beside her.

For the first time, Mindy felt she and someone else her age was finally going to become good friends. Often ridiculed at her previous school for her condition, Mindy also found herself at the butt of too many hurtful jokes at her old school. But somehow, she felt she could let her walls down with Sara.

Will they be able to form a genuine, lasting friendship with each other despite their experiences?
