Social Housing

It is with great pleasure that we present a collection of articles with academic experiences in technical consultancy in social housing. These are papers presented at the latest editions of the Social Housing Seminar (SHIS), promoted by UFSJ's GEPHIS.Technical advice has been recognized as a tool for guaranteeing the right to adequate housing, promoting social inclusion, valuing the efforts made in construction, improving the quality of construction and reducing construction costs.Academic production in this area is essential for improving practices, disseminating knowledge and strengthening the exchange of experiences between professionals, institutions and communities. In this sense, this book presents a series of methodologies, results achieved and challenges faced; and its analysis allows an understanding of the aspects involved in the field of action in question. We hope, therefore, to contribute to the dissemination of knowledge in the field of technical advice on social housing and to have an impact on the implementation of public policies for decent housing.
