I believe in the fairy tales and dreams of life. And why not? I'm living proof of it now. A person who messes everything up and gets their life back together again is my favourite kind of story, and that's what I set out to do: to be my own hero.A few years ago, doctors told me I had a deranged liver, inflamed stomach, and resting heart rate of 86. I weighed 21 stones and spent my life lost in pubs, nightclubs, football tops, being overweight, and eating horrible processed food every night.But everything changed the day my little girl, Ava-Jane, was born. I made a promise that I would do everything I could to be a good example.Although my progress since then has not all been straightforward I've experienced a few false starts I can finally say that I have succeeded in building a new life and a new me.
