Shadows & Verse: Dark Poems with Celebrity Commentary is a very special collection of poems and song lyrics that explore 'darkness' in all its many forms -the supernatural, grief, PTSD, loss, the unknown, death, and even joy. Darkness itself is not always bad or negative. This volume collects poems about darkness by some of the greatest writers of all time -including Edgar Allan Poe, Robert Frost, Langston Hughes, William Butler Yeats, John Donne, and many others.

Each poem was selected by one of today's top creators who also provided insightful commentary. Contributors include writers (Neil Gaiman, R.L. Stine, Alma Katsu, Laurell K. Hamilton, Charlaine Harris, and many others), actors (Michael Greyeyes, Amber Benson, Harold Perrineau, etc), filmmakers (Shane Black, John Russo, etc), and more.

There are also short essays from health care professionals who explore and explain the nature of darkness.

Shadows & Verse is a charity anthology intended to fund scholarships and other resources for emerging writers. There is no other poetry collection like this. It is deeply personal and also a resource for teaching, learning, healing, and understanding.
