The spirit of service is appreciated everywhere and at all times. But why should we serve others? What is it that prompts an individual to reach out to those in need and extend a helping hand? What is the metaphysical basis of service? These are some questions that this little volume deals with. The first part of this volume contains articles on the ideal fo service in some of the major religions of the world. The second part concentrates on a few varied aspects of service.
