On the way to the bus stop which was damn near a mile away, Shanda is approached by a nearby neighbor. He rolls down a window and asks, "e;Hey, how far you going?"e; At first Shanda seemed reluctant to acknowledge him. I guess her Chicago heritage surfaced when she looks over, smiles and answers him. "e;I'm heading to the bus stop. I have a job interview and I'm running late."e;The guy pulls ahead of her and parks the car. Shanda took that as an invitation to get picked up. She sashays over to the car and gets in. "e;Thank you! I spilled coffee on my dress this morning, and had to change at the last minute."e; "e;Well I guess you can say I'm glad that happened."e; She reared back and looked at him, "e;WHAT? Why?"e; Donning one of Trixie's pouts. Or maybe it's truly her own. Remember we don't know this chick."e;No beautiful, I'm only implying that had you not spilled the coffee on yourself, you would not have had to change, and then I wouldn't have met you because you may have been long gone by now."e; "e;So you see?"e; "e;It works out."e; "e;I get to meet a beautiful woman, and you meet me, a charming friendly gentleman."e;A shared laugh is just the thing to get people better acquainted. Come to find out, she never went to the interview.
