Selections of the Seventh Art

In 1997, artist Mahmoud Hemeida founded and published "The Seventh Art" magazine, the first Arab cinema publication specializing in the film industry in the Middle East. Both local and international works of art appeared on its pages in various colors and directions, and the work team shed light on them and analyzed them from various angles. These works then reached specialists and those in charge of this industry, as well as the reading public, in an honest and impartial manner. Therefore, scholars of this type of art considered it a historical reference for various works, whether local or international. The "Seventh Art" magazine had ceased publication due to production circumstances several years ago, and given the material contained in its archive that is still present in the conscience of filmmakers and their audience, the idea for this book came about.
