Moquette is the carpet-like fabric covering the seats on London’s Tubes, buses, trams and Overground trains – and here is a brilliantly colourful guide to all its patterns.

Since this colourful and idiosyncratic little book was first published in 2019 it has gone on to sell over s 13,000 copies over 7 printings, while the London Transport Museum’s moquette merchandise – everything from socks to sofas – has become a must-have style accessory.

In the meantime, TfL has continued to design beautiful new patterns for its new rolling stock – and even to commemorate the 90th anniversary of Victoria Coach Station. Their appeal is not just London-wide but worldwide: no other city is adorned in such a vibrant way.

This new, revised and expanded edition has 16 more pages, new moquettes and features, as well as all the historic designs from the London Transport Museum’s archive.
