Seasons are Like Songs

Mr. Niu Gang, a member of the club, recently sent me the manuscript of his latest work Shaoxing in Water Town: Remembering the Fun of Grass Roots and asked me for the preface. Niu Gang is a director of the Rural Culture Research Association of Shaoxing city. He has been rooted in the rural grassroots for a long time and served as a township cadre. He is familiar with the countryside, farmers, farm work and farming. After retirement, he joined the Rural Culture Research Association of Shaoxing city and devoted himself to the compilation of village records. It is incumbent on me to make some comments and publicize his works, and this is indeed a "e;grassroots culture"e; work worth reading carefully.
