Salads for Good is the second instalment of the Cook for Good library, following the phenomenal success of our first cookbook, Soup for Good.   Those who bought Soup for Good told us they loved the way it combined easy-to-cook and delicious-to-eat recipes with people’s moving personal histories. So, knowing that our community had many more recipes and stories to share, we’re following it up with a salad-focused book which proves that healthy doesn’t have to mean boring.  Salads for Good features more than 70 salads, dressings and toppings, including donated recipes from Jamie Oliver, Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall, Claudia Winkleman and other Cook for Good supporters. Some are on the lighter side, others are chunky enough for a full meal; but they’re all bursting with flavour and goodness, and perfect for sharing with family and friends. They also offer new and inventive ways to use accessible ingredients that readers might already have in their store cupboards and fridges.  Additionally, the book includes moving stories from much-loved characters from our community, interwoven throughout. They speak about their connections with food, the power of communal cooking, and how focusing on health and wellbeing has changed their lives.  Salads for Good is a high-quality, full-colour hardback book with a beautiful photo for every recipe. Chapters include:    ·                Plant powered salads packed with veg and flavour    ·                Grain and bean salads to keep you going all day    ·                Cheese topped salads full of creamy richness    ·           Carb boosted salads that are deliciously filling    ·                Protein rich salads that you can tweak to suit your guests    ·                Dip based salads for an exciting two-in-one option    ·                Dressings and toppings that add punch and crunch     Salads for Good proves once and for all that salads deserve a central place at your table. And, as all the profits from the book will be invested into our community programme, it is a fabulous feel-good, do-good read.
