Sadie Hayes is the girl every one ignores. The girl people at school wonder how someone popular like Matt is friends with, or was friends with. She has gotten used to being invisible, except her new algebra teacher and her younger brother Zach change that. Not being used to people noticing her, she hides behind sarcasm and snarky remarks. Sadie Hayes has it hard at school, but nothing compared to her life at home. Her father is narcissistic and is emotionally abusive, leaving her with anxiety, depression, and some unhealthy ways to cope.
