Rocky Ledge: Volume 3 Mayhem

Narrowly escaping the evil web of Lachlan, Arturo realizes this is just the beginning of his brother's onslaught. His worst fear is that he will reap his vengeance on those he cares deeply for. Spring and summer duties are performed in a seemingly normal fashion at Old Baldy. Then it begins with small things, the stealing of food in small quantities, farm equipment tearing up, poison found on the river bank, and Loretta's mysterious ethereal visits to her adult children's far away homes; but, with the appearance of Lachlan's band of large black birds creating mayhem, there is no doubt that mischief is afoot.Arturo realizes he cannot be everywhere at once and organizes the whole community to be on watch. He initiates the Sleep of the Ages that allows him to be awake continually for five months so he can be ever vigilant. For the first time in centuries, tensions are laid aside between neighbors to fight their common enemy. During this process, however, they realize there are more enemies than one.As winter approaches once again, the evil creeps slowly in. Celtic warrior mercenaries come thundering through the mountain passes, and Lachlan positions himself in Arturo's dwelling as he holds Miss Mossy hostage to gain his objective-The Lady of the Rock.
