BASED ON MY TRUE STORYThis is my real-life story; everything in this book... unfortunately, it is the truth, even though it's difficult for me to talk about it. This book was written from real events that happened in my life. Nothing in this book was fabricated or used to start a conflict. No male-bashing was intended, nor is it encouraged. Over and over again. Will another man treat me better or worse than my ex-husband did? Will this happen again? Will I ever trust him again?I'm writing this book as a form of self-therapy. Normally, I'm a drama fiction author, and I considered including this in one of my stories. However, given my life experiences, I felt it needed to be non-fiction. To be told exactly as I lived it. Raw and unfiltered. There's someone out there just like me who's going through or has gone through the same things I am, and I hope this helps them feel seen and understood.As a 39-year-old Black Christian woman, specifically an ordained pastor, people expect me to know where I'm going, what I'm about to do next, and just have all the answers. None of what I went through was planned. None of it.
