Reading Fun with Word Families

This is a mini reading program with 100 progressive reading stories to promote coding and decoding of words.

This reading program is designed to introduce 5 and 5 years olds to the wonderful world of reading. It can also aid a child who is experiencing reading difficulties. It may be used as a good source of supplemental reading materials. Along with teaching a child to read, the program can also promote success in reading and enhance a child's confidence and desire to read.

A list of introduction and review words is presented at the beginning of each story. These introduction words may be used as a spelling lesson which would combine reading and spelling. This reinforces reading words in content and helps to make spelling grades obtainable at a 100% level.

It is advisable that a strong phonics program which emphasizes consonant sounds, vowel sounds and consonant blend sounds accompany this reading program.
