Randomness of Signals

Digital communication signals exhibit a random nature where the signal envelope at any point in time does not have a deterministic value that can be predicted from past values [3]. In addition to noise, random signals are present in several engineering systems. Actually, random signals could be seen as wanted signals such as video or audio, or as noise (unwanted signal) accompanying message signal. This book serves as introduction to signals, systems and signal processing. It discusses the 2 types of signals and how those are processed to generate message bits using typical examples with their C++ source codes.
