Railways of the Ardèche and Vivarais

Profusely illustrated throughout, with photographs, old postcard views, maps, plans and diagrams, this volume describes the history of the railways of the Ard che and Vivarais. It covers the standard gauge main lines of the PLM, the metre gauge lines of the CFD Vivarais and Tramways de l'Ard che, as well as a number of minor tramway schemes, and the never completed Transc venole. In addition there are chapters on the railway town of Le Teil, the locomotives of the Ard che, and the railway pioneer Marc Seguin.
