Puppet Act 7: Afraid of the Dark

Undesired thoughts begin to creep into Max's brain as he struggles to come to terms with his wife's erotic confessions involving her sexual surrender to their strange new friend Jack, the previous night. Worried the darkness binding him will eventually tear their marriage apart, he searches for someone to confide in, eventually finding solace with an unexpected person. While detailing their salacious activities, Max admits to unlocking an unknown desire within Keri, after inviting a young, muscular college kid into their home, leading to him acquiescing to his wife's new found fantasies. When his pursuit for answers inadvertently exposes a violent darkness long since forgotten, Max starts to realize and put together the pieces of this dark nature within him. This is a short story, approximately thirty-five pages (in Word) (around 12,500 words)There are 27 short stories in the complete collection.
