Psychotherapy, ancient and modern

The minds of ancient and modern doctors were directed to studying diseases of the body, knowing their causes, and means of treating them, and they excelled in this and benefited. This did not distract them from researching diseases of the mind and learning about the means of treating them, so they were sometimes right and sometimes wrong. This is because the human mind is shrouded in secrets, surrounded by blinds, and obstacles stand in the way of knowing its secrets and many mistakes occur.There is no surprise that they are trying to comprehend the secrets of the soul, and the soul is the command of God, who knows the secret and what is hidden. However, their experiences guided them, and the inspirer of wisdom and the guide to what was right inspired them. They learned many of the secrets of the soul, and they learned significant scientific methods to treat its diseases and defects, and they succeeded in that, or almost succeeded.
