Prosthodontic Management of TMJ Disorders

The temporomandibular joint is defined as the synovial joint that is formed by the articulation of the mandibular condyle at the base of the cranium in the mandibular fossa with the squamous part of the temporal bone.It is an integral component of the masticatory apparatus and hence effective prosthodontic management of the related temporomandibular disorders are essential for normal functioning of the joint.
