Principles of Teaching English Language

The instruction of English as a foreign language may occur in any country, whether English speaking or not. Learners of EFL study English for different purposes: passing the examination, career development, pursuing their education, etc. In most countries, English as a foreign language is part of the educational curriculum. Teaching and learning has a very close relationship and one into another cannot be defined apart. Therefore, Brown(1987, p.6) defines teaching as "guiding and facilitating learning, enabling learner to learn, and setting the condition for learning."
