In the United States, the nomination of a Supreme Court judge is a privilege few Presidents have. So when it falls on President Dennis McCauley to nominate the next judge of the Court, he finds himself saddled with a very difficult task. This is more so because the man he is to replace had been his childhood friend. When he finally makes his choice, it is applauded as a very good one. That is, until Diane Hong, a small time Asian American reporter with a New York based News Magazine, stumbles upon details of the nominees past, which indicate that he may not be fit for the job after all. As Diane probes further into her findings, it becomes clear that the possibility of the President s nominee becoming the next Supreme Court judge will be hers to make or mar.
