Faces in the Nightsome nights endlessly emptysome nights fatalistic forlornsome nights full, capable, fantasysome alone, abandoned, shopworndreams they come unbiddenunchained, escaped, uncloakedmirroring my anxietieswreathed, evanescent, drugged smokelangorous, bemused, befuddledabed within dawns embracedreaming fractal fragmentswhere to align my facei turn to behold your curvaturesenwrapped beneath the sheeti reach to absorb your familiar warmthfeel the pulsing of your beatthe warmth of Auroras gentle rayscollides with Nights cold frosti search for sense and meaningam i found or am i lostlike the cycling of the waves and tidesi fall and rise and fallmy hopes, my fears, my uncertaintiesebb and surge through alladrift like jetsam, flotsamat the boundary of awaremy barriers, my guardpostsdiscarded like used underwearneither counscious nor unconsciousaware but not awaredrifting in this nether landcaring without careat last there comes a tipping pointof sensing what i sensethe mantle of personalityresumes my lifes pretenseconsciousness now assumes commandcreeping in on silverfish feethow shall i prepare my faceto meet the faces i shall meet?
