Pelvic Inflammation in Women

Whilst the greatest effort has been made to ensure the quality of this text, due to the historical nature of this content, in some rare cases there may be minor issues with legibility. This monograph is presented to the medical profession in the hope that it may serve a purpose, i.e., to awaken in both the practitioner and the specialist a keener appreciation of the importance of that large group of diseases peculiar to women which result from septic gonorrhoeal and tuberculous infections.<br><br>Nowhere in the English or American literature is the subject presented in its entirety, and while the author does not presume to present a resume of all the literature on the subject, he has attempted to describe concisely and consecutively the common inflammatory lesions affecting the genital organs in women.<br><br>While some of the statements may appear dogmatic and have been repeated several times in the text, many years of clinical teaching has convinced the author that there are certain positive truths in medicine which cannot be taught except by positiveness and repetition.<br><br>In this work the effort has been made to give the reader the accepted pathology, a definite clinical picture and a description of the treatment which has best served the author in his special practice.<br><br>I take this opportunity to express my appreciation and thanks to my associates, Drs.
