Mr Phipps's days of freelance assassinations may be behind him, along with the big pay outs, but after the debacle of one particular London day, working for MI6 again is not so bad. Phipps is headed back to Germany on the trail of a former Stasi agent mixed up in a lucrative people smuggling operation. But it's a very different country from his army days, he needs to learn the new rules fast, distinguish friend from foe and get out alive. As well as handling the complication of an enemy with a very personal grudge against him.
