Obesity is defined as excessive fat accumulation in the body, which is linked to a higher risk of cardiometabolic diseases. The incidence of obesity, has reached epidemic levels globally and is a significant risk factor for a wide range of chronic and non-communicable diseases.Childhood obesity is a key focus of studies on child health and disease. Obesity in childhood and adolescence is associated with a higher risk of developing insulin resistance, type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM), and cardiovascular diseases. The most critical long-term outcome of the increasing prevalence of childhood obesity and the growing severity of associated comorbidities is their continuation into adulthood. Moreover, the onset of obesity in childhood leads to increased mortality, making it an increasingly serious global issue.
