Notae Latinae

Originally published in 1915, this book presents an account of the use of abbreviations in Latin manuscripts of the early Minuscule period (circa 700–850 AD). Lindsay provides statistics on the actual use of symbols as abbreviations and lists of the 'notae' discussed, divided into their usage in sacred, legal or secular manuscripts.
