Life for Sam and his estranged mother has been difficult since the divorce six months ago. That is until they make a new friend in the form of a Golden Retriever puppy named Joy. As times passes, Joy becomes one of the family. Life seems to be returning to normal. But all that changes when the family goes on vacation and they find something is terribly, terribly wrong with their new "dog".
